What does Defy Studios do?

We’re a full-service production studio in Manchester creating video, CGI and 3D animation, drone footage and AI content for brands and agencies.

Where are you based, and do you work outside Manchester?

Our studio is at The Sharp Project in Manchester. We work with brands and agencies across the UK and internationally.

Can you combine live action, CGI, drone and AI in one project?

Yes. Many of our projects mix them; our Simba TV advert blends live action with high-end CGI.

Do you work with agencies?

Yes. We produce work directly for brands and as a production partner for agencies and other production companies.

How much does a project cost?

Every project is quoted to its brief. Cost depends on shoot days, locations, crew, CGI complexity and the formats you need. Tell us what you have in mind and we’ll put together a tailored quote.
