Neville Johnson’s latest TV spot reimagines the staircase, broadcast nationally on Channel 4. Seamlessly blending CGI with live-action, we transformed a forgotten space into something unforgettable. Combining the two crafts, we brought the before-and-after to life in a way that’s fun, engaging and impossible to ignore. Showing exactly why the difference is Neville Johnson.

How we did it.

The brief was to show a staircase transform from old to new in a way that felt engaging and energetic. A slinky became our storytelling device, as it travels down the staircase, it triggers the transformation. We studied how slinkys move to ensure every frame felt authentic.

Sets were fully designed and measured in CGI before a single camera rolled. Rather than building full physical environments, we extended the sets digitally giving us complete control over the product whilst keeping builds lean and flexible.

The result is a seamless blend of CGI and live-action; a polished, believable world where real and CGI are indistinguishable.
